Kevin Malawski
Kevin Malawski is a finalist for the prestigious Marshall Scholarship, which supports young Americans of high ability and leadership potential for one or two years of graduate study in the UK.
Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Kevin came to Philadelphia in 2008 to pursue a degree in Architecture. While at Drexel, Kevin was president of the Drexel Smart House, a student-led, multidisciplinary project to renovate an urban home using cutting-edge, sustainable design and technology. He also was part of a research team for a lightweight green roof system, for which the group earned an EPA P3 award.
His interest in sustainability led him to research the renovations of an aging shipyard in Gdansk, Poland, to better understand urban regeneration on a broader scale. A finalist for the Marshall Scholarship, Kevin hopes to study Urban Design and Sustainable Environmental Design at University College London and the Architectural Association respectively.
Congratulations Kevin, and best of luck!
